    Ceftrioxone, cefotaxime, or ceftizoxime is the best empiric therapy for disseminated gonorrhea. Fluoroquinolones are not the best initial therapy because
    more than 5% are resistant. Use quinolones only if the organism is confirmed
    to be sensitive.
