The Presidents Perspective

Alpha Zeta Sisters,
WOW! Where has time gone! With our first meeting of the year behind
us, the second one is suddenly upon us. The picnic at Sugar Hollow
was a great time to reconnect with one another in a more casual setting
and I believe everyone in attendance enjoyed the beautiful setting and
food. Now, as we approach a new season, Im am looking forward to our
meeting in October at one of our favorite places The Family Bakery.
This meeting should be an informative one as we approach a very
th
important election in November. Israel OQuinn, Delegate for the 5
District of the VA House of Delegates and Terry Kilgore, VA House of
st
Delegates for the 1 Legislative District will be sharing information and
be available for any questions you may have concerning local, state, and
national issues. Regardless of political affiliation, we all need to make
informed decisions as we enter the voting booth on Tuesday, November
8, 2016.
I encourage each of you to visit our chapter website on a regular basis.
Judi Lenviel does a superb job in keeping the site updated and
informative. The address is located above The Presidents Perspective.
In addition to our own website, take time to explore the IOTA and DKG
International websites. All you ever wanted to know about our state and
international organization can be found on each site. IOTAs address is
http://www.iota-state.org/ and http://www.dkg.org/ for the international
site. Too, if you have not completed your MyDKG account, please take
a few minutes to do so. By setting up this account, you will have access
to resources and information that can only be accessed through a
MyDKG account.
Take care and see you in Gate
City.
