Philosophy Garuda Bird Pancasila Symbol

1. Total Feather
The wings Garuda Bird have 17 feather the tail Garuda Bird have 8 feather, the
feather under shield have 19 feather, and the feather in the neck have 45 feather. So,
totality for all feather in Garuda Bird is symbolize Indonesian Independent Day at 1708-1945 ( August 17, 1945 ).
2. Shield Symbol
In the chest Garuda Bird be found a the shield. And in the shield be found 5
picture, its symbol of Pancasila. Among them :
The Star, symbolize of the first sila, One Almighty Deity.
The Chain Steel, symbolize of the second sila, Just and civilized humanity.
Banyan Tree, symbolize of the third sila, The unity of Indonesian.
The Head of a Bull, symbolize of the fourth sila, The humanity led by hikmat,
wisdom in discussion representatives.
The Rice and Cotton, symbolize of the fifth, Social justice for the rest of the
people of Indonesian.

3. The Thick Horizontal in The Sheild

The thick horizontal in the sheild, in the chest Garuda Bird is symbolize that The
Unity of The Republic Indonesian has traversed by the Equatorial line.
4. The Ribbon in foot Garuda Bird
The foot Garuda Bird has hold tightly a the ribbon curved up where are a writen
in the ribbon, its Bhineka Tungga Ika.
Bhineka Tunggal Ika is a the sentence taken from a Sutosoma Book, arragements
Empu Tantular, a the man of letters in once the kingdom of Majapahit. Bhineka
Tunggal Ika have a meaning Vary remain one also. That mean is although The Unity
of The Republic Indonesian consistng of an assortment of the nations tribe, art,
language, custom, and religion, but its a nation with one culture, one language, one
state is The Unity of The Republic Indonesian.
5. Garuda Bird
Garuda Bird is state symbols set in the Goverment Regulations No. 66 Th. 1951,
date is Octobe 17, 1951. Whereas, using of Garuda Bird is state symbols set in the
Goverment Regulations No. 43 Th.1958.
