Self-Evaluation / Reflection:
Things I did well: I ended the lesson on time, had time for cool down stretch, the activities
were good. They had time for 3 quarters instead of 4, but it was good to teach them the
transition for after half time. a couple students tried to argue with me about the rule on the
NFL page I gave to them to look at. It shows they did read it, but understood it differently. I
will do a follow up question next class.
Things to work on: have them speak English around me, the other teacher told me the
students were ganging up on another student but since they were speaking Italian I did not
know what was being said. I need to insist they speak English so it doesnt happen again. I
need to train them to listen to the whistle better. As they hurry on to play the game instead
of taking their time, there will not be time for arguing because they will be playing. The
summative task will also be useful in team work to help them be kinder to each other and
include all. I should also be using more of the proper terminology on the field with the class.
