Two Nation Theory

Two-Nation

theory states

that

Muslims

and

Hindus

are

two separate nations from

every definition; therefore Muslims should have a separate homeland in the Muslim majority areas of
India, where they can spend their lives according to the glorious teachings of Islam.
The Two Nation Theory in its simplest way means the cultural, political, religious, economic and
social dissimilarities between the two major communities; Hindus and Muslims of the Sub Continent.
These contrast of them, in fact, were significantly instrumental in offering arise to two particular political
theories which were in charge of the segment of India into two independent states.

Two Nation Theory; The Reason Of Establishment Of Pakistan

Pakistan was purely established on the basis of two nation theory. It was actually the idea of the
battle for formation of Pakistan which held that Hindus and Muslims are two separate Nations. As the
living standard of both was ignored for quite a long time, even then they couldn't oversee or manage
their individual societies and human advancement as well as their respective theories and religions.
The way of living and life standards of both are quite different from each of them. So they cannot live
with each other under any kinds of circumstances.
Al-Beruni in 1001 recorded in his book Kitab ul Hind that "The Hindus society maintained this
peculiar character over the centuries. The two societies, Hindus and Muslims, like two streams have
sometimes touched but never merged, each following its separate course."

The Islamic state is built up on the concept of the sovereignty of the God Almighty. Pakistan was
also created only for the name of Islam. Even the meaning of Pakistan is considered to be LA ILAHA
ILALLAH. The prime objective of the demand for Pakistan was the establishment of a state where

Almighty Gods supremacy could be enforced. The Quad-e-Azam said that: We did not
demand Pakistan to acquire a piece of land, but we wanted a homeland where we could introduce
Islamic principles
On different occasions Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Quaid Muhammad Ali Jinnah and many great
leaders of the time have claimed this in their speeches that Hindus and Muslims are not two peoples,
not two groups, but they are two nations. They are actually two quite different nations that are different
in their Religions, Cultures, Educations, and Languages and in their Socials and Politics. These were
the reasons for the establishment of a Muslim State, Pakistan. The Muslims soon understood that they
would lose their identity if they remained a part of Hindu society. They also came to realize the above
mentioned differences between them and the Hindus and hence demanded separate constituency on
the ground that they were different nation from Hindus.
Hindus in India needed to get hold of entire India after the end of English rule.so keeping in
mind the end goal to dispose of this circumstance, the Muslims of subcontinent under the banner of "all
India Muslim association" and under the initiative of "QUAID - EAZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH "
requested separate country and got it.

Comment
The ideology of Pakistan comes from the instinct of the Muslim community of South Asia to
maintain their individuality by resisting all attempts by the Hindu society to absorb it. Muslims of South
Asia believe that Islam and Hinduism are not only two religions, but also two social orders that have
given birth to two distinct cultures with no similarities.

The Muslims of Pakistan decided once and for all to make Pakistan a state wherein the Muslims
shall be enabled to order their lives in their individual and collective spheres, in accordance to the
teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
Hence it is right to say that Two Nation Theory is the basis of the creation of Pakistan because
without this as a base, Pakistan would not be able to establish on 14th August ,1947,and we would not
be breathing freely in this open air of Pakistan.

Long Live Pakistan
