    Campus Goals:

    Sam Houston was labeled Improvement Required two years ago


    and we since have improved and got out of the label. Our goal
    based on the School Improvement Plan is to raise our Algebra 1
    passing rate from 58% to at least 60% given that half the Algebra
    1 team is beginning or second year teacher. We are therefore
    targeting the following areas:
    PL2 Collects, tracks, and uses student data to drive lesson
    PL-3 Design effective lesson plans, units, and assessments
    I-2 Checks for understanding and responds to student
    misunderstanding
    I-3 Differentiates instruction for student needs by employing a
    variety of instructional strategies
    I-5 Maximizes instructional time
