Public Opinion Strategies recently completed a survey of 400 likely voters in Michigans 8th Congressional
District. The survey was conducted September 10-12, 2016 and has a margin of error of 4.90%. The
survey includes 120 cell phone interviews. The memorandum below reviews the key findings of the poll.
The survey was sponsored by Mike Bishop for Congress and the National Republican Congressional
Committee.
1. Mike Bishop is well ahead of his opponent on the ballot;

Mike Bishop is polling at 53%, and Suzanna Shkreli is polling at 34%.

2. Mike Bishop is well-known and well-liked;

Eighty-two percent of voters have heard of Mike Bishop, and his image is 41% favorable
21% unfavorable.

3. Suzanna Shkreli is unknown to voters in the final stretch of the race;

Only 17% of voters have heard of Shkreli, and only 7% have an opinion of her.
