Oral presentation: My contribution to talent

management
Part 1: Answer to this questions in a simple way.
1. What is your job position?
Im working as Sub Manager of Safety, Health and Environment (HSE) in
Energy and Resources segment in Sodexo Peru.
2. What competences, abilities and knowledge are necessary to perform you
job?

Team spirit, good communication skills.


A committed safety professional with excellent technical skills and a
minimum of 5 years HSE experience relevant in enterprise services.
Higher education and relevant post-graduate degree in HSE.

3. What are your two most important functions or tasks?

Maintain and improve the global HSE Systems in accordance with


regulatory requirements and business requirements and provide
reporting based on the needs of internal stakeholders.
Provide technical support to Segments and Service Operations, for
example providing input into Standard Operating Procedures and other
standards.

- How do you, personally, contribute to talent management on your
organization?
Give at least one concrete example
As Sub Manager HSE, I am responsibility about the selection of the personal for
working in my contracts designated. For example, I revised all candidates and
pre-selections the persons for the personal interview, when I revise the
curriculums, always see the experience and the knowledge this is very
important for the external client. The next step is the personal interview, I have
six questions for all interview, when the candidates exposes your experiences
about your performance in differences sceneries in other works. I always
selection a candidate with three conditions, first god communication, for the
HSE area is very important the communication the standards and policies, the
second is the capacity of problems resolution is important for our search
solutions right now. The final condition is the most important for me, is the
attitude. I think the others competences people can learn but the attitude is
part our personality this cant learn attitude easily.

After the new worker star en new job, I have a meeting with them for introduce
a Sodexo and the polities about HSE Area. I provide support for your work, and
help for anything else. I evaluated his work, and revised the opportunities in
the company.
