Vickie Irwin, Manager, Supplier Diversity & Development
Vickie leads a team of 5 supplier development professionals. During tenure at Georgia Power she has held the positons of Supplier Development Project Manager and Consultant. Vickie is Georgia Powers Small Business Liaison Officer, member of the GMSDC Supplier Diversity Leadership Team, Georgia Society of CPAs, American Association of Blacks in Energy and Project Management Institute-Atlanta Chapter. She holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, GA, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Prior to joining Georgia Power, she worked with national organizations as CFO and Director of Franchising, Mergers & Acquisitions. Glenda Stinson, Staff Supplier Development Consultant Glendas 19 year tenure with Georgia Power includes positions in customer service, compliance and supplier diversity. Glenda is the Administrator of the companys internal and external small and diverse mentoring and development programs and partnerships. These partners include the Small Business Development Centers Premiere Development Programs and Grow Smart, the Georgia Mentor Protg Connection of the Education Foundation, Georgia Power's internal mentoring program and Tuck at Dartmouth sponsorships. Glenda serves as Board Chair for the Womens Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project (WEOP), is a member of the International Womens Think Tanks Executive Committee and serves on the Advisory Board of the Georgia Mentor Protg Connection. Deborah Mackins, Staff Supplier Development Consultant Deborah has 20+ years of experience to support her role leading the Transmission Business Units Supplier Diversity initiatives. Previously she worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company. Deb is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Womens Business Council (GWBC) and is the Georgia Power Company liaison for Georgia Black Constructors Association, Georgia Hispanic Construction Association and business resource groups for Veteran-Owned Businesses. She was the recipient of GWBCs 2015 Corporate Advocate of the Year award. She holds a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University and MBA in International Business from Baker College and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Barbette Hill, Staff Supplier Development Consultant Barbette has 5 years experience in generation at Plant Bowen as outage coordinator and project manager, 5 years with Supplier Diversity for Southern Company Services and 2 years with the Georgia Power team. Barbette leads the PGEN Strategy team and is instrumental in identifying, developing and introducing diverse businesses for power generation contracting opportunities. Previously she was employed by Georgia Pacific and Southern Natural Gas. She is a Board of Directors member of the US Pan Asian Chamber of Commerce and works with several advocacy organizations. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Mercyhurst University and MS in Business from Nova Southeastern University. Crystal King, Sr. Supplier Development Consultant Crystal joined Southern Company in 2004 and has held positions at SouthernLINC and Georgia Power Supply Chain Management. Her experience as a Contracts Analyst, prepared her for her current position in Supplier Diversity supporting Distribution, reporting and compliance. Crystal is the Georgia Power liaison to the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy and committee leader in the Pride Power Employee Resource Group. Crystal holds a BA in Business Administration from Robert Morris College and an MBA from Mercer University. Monique Carter, Supplier Development Consultant Monique joined Southern Company in 2004, and has held positions in Marketing, Talent Acquisition, Customer Operations and Key Account Markets prior to joining the Georgia Power Supplier Diversity team in 2016. Previous experience includes Human Resources in a variety of industries, and she served 4 years in the US Air Force. Monique is a committee member in the American Association of Blacks in Energy both locally and nationally. Monique received her BS in Business Management from University of Phoenix, Atlanta.
