Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :
Listen to the story of Chad the Milkman and enjoy it.
Activities :
1. Teacher shows a lyric of We likes Apples.(tb pg
81)
2. Pupils sing the song We likes Apples with the
tune of Jack and Jill. Teacher shows the smiley
picture cards while singing. Teacher stick up the
picture on the board.
3. Teacher displays 6 pictures of food. Say and spell
out the words. Pupils to talk about the picture.
Teacher asks questions.
T: Do you like an apple?
P: Yes, I do. /No, I dont ( show the smiley picture
cards to guide them to answer the questions )
4. Put the pictures cards into a small box. Shake the
box and pull out one card. Ask What is this?. After
pupils answer, ask Do you like .. yes/no reply
from pupils. Repeat with other cards.
5. Give out the colour lots of food worksheet.
Teacher hold up teachers worksheet or use the
picture on the board) and say What food /fruit do
you like?. Circle the food/fruit you like each time
saying I like ..(Same as the picture you circle).
6. Lesson continued with LINUS Writing Test.

non-linear texts with guidance.
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, pps. should be able to:
1. recognize, articulate and read
phonemes /j/,/w/,/v/.
2. read simple sentences (3-5 words)
Activities:
1. Beat It: Teacher introduces the phonemes
/j/,/w/,/v/ using the sound cards.
2. Teacher says a phoneme and the pupils
repeat the sound and hit the sound
card on their table.
3. Poison Box: Pupils sit in a circle and pass the
box until the music stops.The pupils who is
holding the box have to take a sentence strip
from the box.
4. That pupil has to read the sentence and
identify the name of food and choose the
picture of it which is placed on the table in
the middle of the class.
5. The pupil shows the picture and read the
words.
(Appendix 1).
6. Teacher drills the pupils.
