CHARLESTON, WV Absentee Congressman Alex Mooney skips out on an editorial board meeting in Charleston leaving the people of his district without answers once again. Jeff Worcester, campaign manager for Mark Hunt for Congress, says this is typical behavior from a congressman who cares only about advancing his political career and nothing about the people he represents Absentee Alex continues skipping out on the people of West Virginias Second Congressional District, said Worcester. First, he skipped town on a taxpayer funded vacation to Egypt just two days after historic flooding devastated parts of his district, now, he skips out on telling the press and the public where he stands and what he stands for. The Charleston Gazette-Mail held its annual editorial board meeting for Second District Congressional candidates Monday afternoon. Mark Hunt attended. Worcester says Mooneys bizarre behavior is why he is trailing in the polls with only 26% of voters in the district having a favorable opinion of him. West Virginians are looking for a leader who will truly represent their interests in Washington, not continually skip out on them while using their hard earned tax dollars for a re-election campaign, said Worcester. Following his taxpayer funded trip to Egypt, Absentee Alex sent out three targeted campaign mailers having taxpayers foot the bill. Alex Mooney is a disgrace to West Virginia and her people, and its time to send him home to Maryland. ###
