DTC P0883 (FN4A-EL) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
DTC P0883
Battery voltage high
Voltage of 16 V or more detected at PCM terminal 1BE.
Diagnostic support note:

CONDITION

POSSIBLE CAUSE

This is a continuous monitor (CCM).


The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction conditions
during the first drive cycle.
A PENDING CODE is not available.
FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
The AT warning light illuminates.
The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
Generator malfunction
PCM malfunction

VERIFY DTC
Turn the ignition switch to the
LOCK position, then to the ON
position.
Verify the DTC in the PCM
memory.

the repair order, then go to the next step.
Perform repair or diagnosis according to
the available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired, go to

Are DTC P2504 output?


VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P0883 COMPLETED
Make sure to reconnect all the
disconnected connectors.
Clear the DTC from the memory
using the M-MDS.
Start the engine and warm it up
completely.
Is same DTC present?
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR
PROCEDURE

Yes

Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

Perform the "After Repair


Procedure".
