Little Red Riding Hood

Narrador: Once upon a time there were two twin sisters, one of them was a dear little girl who was loved by
everyone who looked at her, but most of all by their grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not
have given to the child. Once she gave her a little riding hood of red velvet, which suited her so well that she
would never wear anything else; so she was always called 'Little Red Riding Hood'. The other twin was an evil
little girl that was always mad at her sister because everyone loved more Little Red Riding Hood, but their
grandmother loved them alike and she gave the evil twin a little riding hood too, but this one was blue; so she
was always called 'Little Blue Evil Twin Sister'.
Mary (Mam): Come, girls, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine; take them to your grandmother, she is
ill and weak, and they will do her good. Set out before it gets hot, and when you are going, walk nicely and
quietly and do not run off the path, or you may fall and break the bottle, and then your grandmother will get
nothing; and when you go into her room, don't forget to say, "Good morning", and don't peep into every corner
before you do it.'
Giselle: I will take great care.
Rebeca: Do I have to go?
Mary (Mam): Yes, you must go with your sister.
Narrador: The grandmother lived out in the wood, half a league from the village, and just as Little Red Riding
Hood and Little Blue Evil Twin Sister entered the wood, a wolf met them. Little Red Riding Hood did not know
what a wicked creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him.
Chiqui: Good day, Little Red Riding Hood and Little Evil Twin Sister.
Giselle: Thank you kindly, wolf'.
Rebeca: Yeah, thanks.
Chiqui: Whither away so early, girls?
Giselle: To our grandmother's.
Chiqui: What have you got in your basket?
Rebeca: Cake and wine; yesterday was baking-day, so poor sick grandmother is to have something good, to
make her stronger.
Chiqui: Where does your grandmother live?
Giselle: A good quarter of a league farther on in the wood; her house stands under the three large oak-trees, the
nut-trees are just below; you surely must know it,' replied Little Red Riding Hood.
Narrador: The wolf thought to himself: 'What a tender young creature! What a nice plump mouthful - she will
be better to eat than the old woman. I must act craftily, so as to catch both.
So he walked for a short time by the side of the twins, and then he said:

Chiqui: See, Little Red Riding Hood, how pretty the flowers are about here - why dont you look round? I
believe, too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you were
going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is merry.
Narrador: Little Red Riding Hood raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and there
through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought: 'Suppose I take grandmother a fresh
nosegay; that would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still get there in good time.
So she ran from the path into the wood to look for flowers. And whenever she had picked one, she fancied that
she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood.
Little Blue Evil Twin Sister saw the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and decided to follow him to
see what he was trying to do.
Knock-Knock, the wolf knocked the door.
Mary (Abuela): Who's there?
Chiqui: Little Red Riding Hood, I'm bringing cake and wine; open the door.
Mary (Abuela): Lift the latch, I am too weak, and cannot get up.
Narrador: The wolf lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word he went straight to the
grandmother's bed, and tried to devour her, but he was beaten by Little Blue Evil Twin Sister?! The wolf was
very surprised because he did not think that a little girl like her could hit that strong. Little Blue Evil Twin Sister
kept hitting as hard as she could until the wolf fainted, but what she did not noticed was that her grandmother
fainted too because she was so scared when she saw them fighting. Little Blue Evil Twin Sister hid the wolf in
the closet and helped her grandmother to sit up in the bed when she awoke.
Mary (Abuela): Oh, thank you so much Little Blue Evil Twin Sister, I was so scared and I thought I was going
to die.
Rebeca: You're welcome granny, I am glad you are fine.
Mary (Abuela): I guess Little Red Riding Hood is distracted looking for flowers again, isn't she?
Rebeca: Yes, she is, She is never going to change.
Giselle: Knock-Knock, granny are you there?
Narrador: Little Blue Evil Twin Sister opened the door for Little Red Riding Hood.
Rebeca: Come in.
Giselle: 'Wow, what happened here?
Rebeca: Oh, nothing important, I just saved our grandmother's life from that wolf while you were looking for
flowers.
Gsielle: I am so sorry, I did not think that the wolf was going to eat granny, you forgive me?
Rebeca: Oh sister, of course I do, I love you no matter what happens.

Giselle: I love you too.

Rebeca: Ok, too kitsch. Now, help me get the wolf out of the closet.
Giselle y Mary: Why is the wolf in the closet?
Rebeca: I put him in there just in case he awakes.
Narrador: The grandmother and the twins went to get the wolf out of the closetThe wolf awoke and he did not
know where he was.
Chiqui: Where am I?, and who are you?
Narrador: He woke up in the middle of the forest with a crazy bear hugging him as a Teddy Wolf, and the bear
and the wolf lived happily ever after. And the twins learned to love each other and Little Blue Evil Twin Sister
changed her name to 'Little Blue Riding Hood' because she did not want to be evil anymore.
