Shelby Police Dept (24 and VanDyke) this is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately. Volunteers are needed to help residents move their boxes of papers from vehicles into the big truck. c. Paper sign up only at the front table. Eight people needed. Pancake Breakfast a. Sunday, Oct 9, 2016 10 am noon b. Shelby Twp Community Center c. $8 adults, $5 students and senior citizens, children under 5 free d. To attend with your family, you do not need to sign up, but you would pay at the door. You will earn two hours to go and eat. e. This event raises money for Kids Against Hunger f. Saturday, Oct 15, 2016, Noon-2:00pm b. River Bends Park c. Halloween party for children, KC helps run games and crafts. VIII. Homecoming Parade a. Friday, Oct 21, 2016 @ 4pm b. We will be marching down 25 mile Rd from the corner of Shelby Rd and end here at the high school. c. Wear a Key Club t-shirt. IX. Halloween Candy a. Bring in bags of candy for hours. b. Bags more than $5 = 1 hour, less than $5 = hour. X. Themed Meeting a. Halloween! Next themed meeting will be Oct 27, 2016. b. Members will receive an extra half hour for attending if they are wearing a Halloween costume. Carry a Unicef collection box in school. XI. Fall Rally Saturday, Nov 12 at Eisenhower (counts as 8 hours of service) a. Registration is $25 for the Rally, and includes lunch, registration, and a shirt. Signups begin this week, and money will be due by Oct 27. Please indicate if you are for sure or maybe planning to go. ON-GOING EVENTS XII. Shelby Nursing Center a. 46100 Schoenherr Rd. Shelby Twp. 48315 b. Scooping Ice Cream to residents and families. Every day, 2:30-3:30pm. Contact Samantha, director of recreational therapy for available dates (586566-1100). XIII. Shoe Drive a. Gently used or new shoes. b. One pair of shoes equals one hour. Rubber band each pair. c. (25 pairs of shoes could save 5 babies lives) XIV. Food Drive a. Food drive will be ongoing. You may bring non-perishable food to any meeting. 5 cans = 1 hour (max 10 cans per week) XV. Michigan District T-shirts a. Order forms will be at the front table.
