COURT OF APPEALS
Cebu City

PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES,

Plaintiff-Appellee,

-versus-

CA-GR CEB CR NO.

RENATO MASCARDO SARNE,

Accused-Appellant.
x--------------------------------------------------------------x

MOTION FOR EXTENSION

OF TIME TO FILE COMMENT
The PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES, through the Office of
the Solicitor General (OSG), most respectfully avers:
On April 11, 2016, the OSG was served with a copy of the
Honorable Courts Resolution dated March 17, 2016 directing
appellee to file Comment within ten (10) days from receipt or
until April 21, 2016.
However, the OSG foresees its inability to file the required
Comment due to heavy pressure of work of the handling lawyer
in preparing equally important pleadings.
Thus, the undersigned respectfully pray that they be
granted an additional period of thirty (30) days from April 21,
2016 or until May 21, 2016 within which to file a Comment.
This motion is not intended to delay the proceeding but
solely for the reason above mentioned.

PRAYER
WHEREFORE, it is respectfully prayed of this Honorable
Court that the OSG be given until May 21, 2016 within which to
file the required Comment.
