Reminders:

Please keep singing that doubles wrap! We talk about where we can practice
(while moms cooking dinner, in the car and even in the tub !) We have been
using the doubles to add one to get a doubles plus one and are also using the
doubles for the doubles minus one. Keep up the great practice!
Remember when your child is reading to you to ask those comprehension
questions! Also, if they are stuck decoding, dont give them the word right away
encourage them to use their strategies (on the paper in their leveled reader
folder chunk the skunk, spoon the raccoon, skippy the frog, flippy the dolphin
and hoot the owl not just slither the snake). These strategies will help them
become successful readers!
Keep practicing those sight words!!! We will test on the 2 nd list the week of
October 31st. Please remember your child needs to be able to read the words on
sight (not decode them) AND spell them without looking at them.
