t was a beautiful, sunny

day on Thursday, September 29th when the
community of Minnedosa
gave something back to
its doctors, both past and
present. The ribbon was
cut which opened the
beautiful outdoor pergola,
which overlooks one of
Minnedosas rolling hillsides. Lori McMillan commented that the space is a
place where patients and
their families, and even
staff , can enjoy our beautiful summer weather, and

area is a sign that honours
the many doctors who

Aashima Gupta, and on
behalf of Minnedosas retired doctors, Dr. Valerie

Onyshko had also recently

chose to stay in the community, even after their
retirement, and continue
to give back to organizations in their spare time,

Once the idea was

born, the committee got

straight to fundraising.
Th is included Canada
Day festivities, garage
sales, approaching service
groups, and grant applications. It is thanks to the
cookbook that they published that they raised a
vast majority of the funds
needed to install the sidewalk, said McMillan.
