Friendship

Reading:

This week we have been

working on the short sound of u and
ending consonant blends. The children
learned about cause and effect. We gave

several examples and they did a great job!
We worked on exclamatory sentences and
how to read them with strong feeling
which they enjoy practicing. The students
worked on writing the upper & lowercase
letters of Q and U.

Religion:

We began chapter 5 in Religion this

week. We talked about how God shares his

life with us and how we received new life at
Baptism. The children enjoyed their time in the
Adoration Chapel and also learned about our
new virtue of the month: FRIENDSHIP. They
watched a movie about this virtue and how to
be a better friend.

Math:

We have continued to learn

about subtraction in math this week.

The students have been learning how to
subtract to compare. We practiced
subtracting all and zero.

Science:

We have started the next

chapter in science, which is about plants.

We talked about how plants are living
things and we will be learning about the
plant parts.

Social Studies:

We read a

Scholastic News about elections.
