How many are needed?


First we can work out how many there will be in each row.
Along the top: 3 metres equals 300 centimetres.

How many 20cm tiles will fit along 300cm?


300 20 = 15 tiles

How many rows will there be?


Down the side: 2 metres equals 200 centimetres.

How many 20cm tiles fit along 200cm?


200 20 = 10 tiles
So there are 10 rows each with 15 tiles:
10 x 15 = 150
150 tiles will be needed altogether.

A wall measuring 5.5m by 2.5m is to be papered with wallpaper


approximately 50cm wide. What length is needed?
How much is needed for 4 walls? (Take off 4m for door and
window)
A roll is 9m long. How many rolls are needed?
