Production Brief G321

As part of this production, we were asked to produce a production
portfolio.
A. Our main task is to shoot and edit the opening two minutes of a
thriller or horror film.
B. The Production Schedule
The production schedule will provide important evidence of the
individual role and personal contribution to the production. It must
be completed individually and is expected to include the following:

Key dates, decisions and deadlines

A record of the individual candidates exact contributions to
the production, such as: Camerawork, photography,
interviews, copywriting, design, audience research, redrafting
or editing.
Evidence of research

C. Post- Script
To include a range of material appropriate to the task, such as: first
drafts of Storyboards and scripts, rejected photographs and
graphics, magazines, advertisements and websites.

Distribution and Promotion

Outline your scheduling plans (which channels, when, next to which
programmes)

audience (poster and advertisement, cast interviews and features,
radio and television spots, poster sites, digital techniques)

Production Process
Describe your individual contribution as the editor, cameraperson or
director
Refer to the decisions you made and reflect on the lessons you have
learned
Use as much media vocabulary as possible, terms such as continuity
and lighting ratio will gain you extra marks
Audience Feedback
Describe how you gathered your audience feedback, including
quotes, as well as positive and negative comments
Consider if the feedback tells you that you have effectively targeted
your audience

Did you meet your aims?
Explain how you think the production might have been improved
