Math: We are Finishing up Chapter 2 Adding and
Subtracting Whole numbers. We will be ready to
test on Friday!!
Online help is available at www.connected.mcgraw-hill.com
(each student has been given a username and password).

***Practicing Multiplication facts to increase speed

and accuracy is very important. Students can use Moby
Max and Xtra Math at home to practice!

Reading: We will be finishing our story A Walk in

the Desert. We will be focusing on identifying the
main idea while reading. We moved our test back
a week. TEST THURSDAY!

Weekly Word Study/Spelling
Please check your childs Spelling notebook
for their word list. Students should bring
spelling bags home and back again each day
to practice. Spelling tests will be on
Fridays. Students will get new words every
Monday.

***Students should be reading at least 20 minutes each day

outside of school!***

Grammar: We will be working on Subject and

Predicate.
Writing: We will be working on our own personal
narrative.
Science: We are continuing our Chapter on
Ecosystems and Biomes Biotic and Abiotic
factors (Living and Non-Living)

We have P.E. every day, so students need to either wear or bring tennis shoes to school every day.
Please check red folders and planners with your student each evening. Discussing what they are
learning is very important.

Dont forget to send in any Box Tops you have! We were in first last month
and we would like to keep the trophy!!
