My favourite local festival

What is a festival? The objective definition of this noun describes it

as a special day or period with its own social activities, food or
ceremonies, but a festival is more than this, it represents the opportunity
of reintegrating yourself in the community where you live.
My favourite local festival is Breaza Citys Anniversary because it
remembers people the traditions that give them uniqueness. It takes place
on the 14th of October as it used to celebrate only the death of Saint
Paraskeva, but in turned into the citys anniversary. Its been more than
510 years since its first documentary attestation was made.
The festival begins with the march of the pupils who study at the
schools in Breaza. The traffic is stopped for more than two hours so that
the pupils can parade through the main road.
I think the most interesting part of this festival is represented by the
traditional costumes parade because it proves that women here are
extremely talented as they sew the costumes using the specific colours
(black and red) and people here respect and love their culture.
During this festival, people can buy both traditional clothes and food
such as all types of cheese and meat. Kids and teenagers enjoy the
amusement park especially arranged for this day and during the night
there are concerts including all types of music so that everyone could
have fun.
If I could, I would turn this local festival into an international one
because it shows the authenticity of our people.
