This revised estimate amounting to RS.856.77 Lakhs has been framed as per the
actual work done for the work Widening of WIDENING AND STRENGHTENING TO
BALDIAMAL- DHAMAGARH ROAD (SH-52) FROM 18/000 KM TO 22/750 KM
UNDER SHDP SCHEME FOR THE YEAR 2013-2014 IN KALHANDI DISTRICT.
The work was awarded to M/S Arati infra tech pvt. Ltd. Super Class Contractor
Divisional Agreement NO. 75 /p1/2014-15 dated 30.05.2014 . The agreement was drawn
for an amount of RS 7,57,36,528 being 1.12% less over the corresponding estimated cost
put to tender for 7,65,94,385.00 During execution of the work , it was observed to execute
some extra items as per the site condition which were not taken into consideration during
framing of the estimate.
There was provision for 4 box culverts size 2.0*2.0mm Which was not sufficient for
proper ventage through left to right side of Raipur side approach. Hence it is necessary to
change the size of 4 nos box culvert to 6.00*3.00 m size instead of 2.00*2.00m for proper
ventage as per the inspection note of E.E , kalhandi (R&B) Division and S.E , Balangir
(R&B) circle. The revised cost estimate is required for the following reasons.
1.)

In the sanctioned estimate it was approved to provide 4 NOS of 2.00 X2.00 m box

cell

culverts .But for the proper ventage the 4 NOs of 2.00m X 2.00 m box culverts

changed into 6.00m X 3.00m box culverts in the chainage from 20/800 to 21/300 km.
2.)

G.S.B grading II (Coarse & Close) has been increased due to providing in full

width instead of widening portion as per estimate, as raising of embankment has been done
for matching the height of culverts from 20/800 to 21/300 km..
3.)

Earthwork for embankment also increased due to raising from 20/800 to 21/300 km.

4.)

Rough stone dry packing is increased due to raising in embankment from 20/800

to 21/300 km.
5.)

As per approved drawing and design of the different components of the box culverts

the quantities of different items shown in the deviation statement have also been changed.

Considering the above, the revised cost estimate is framed to meet the actual cost
of the project & the cost of the project comes to RS. 856.77 Lakhs being 12.8 % excess
than the agreement value .The revised cost estimate along with deviation statement and all
other relevant documents is submitted here with for approval.
The agreement rate of the contractor has been taken into considerations for the
items covered under agreement and the two nos of extra items have been taken into
consideration as per CSR -2013 (Analysis attached).
