1.1 ALLOPLASTICA
REHABILITATION
Program
M-0002
program: M-0002 alloplastica
Therapy parameters
Recomended accesories
solenoid 60cm, multi disc 26x26, solenoid 30cm, double disc 26x13
Length of application
60 min
Frequency of treatments
daily
Number of treatments
20 - 30
Position of applicator
Effect
analgesic, vasodilatation
Note
When using multidisc or big solenoid at the treatment of the hip joint the
position of the patient must be comfortable. The initial position depends on
subjective troubles of the patient, size of the pelvis, condition of the lumber
spine and other parameters. When lying prone it is suitable to support the
patient's abdominal region with soft cushion so as to level the lumbar lordosis
and to avoid painful affections in the loins and hip joints. When lying on back
fix the flexion position of the knees and full contact between the lumbar area
and the cushion. The first stage of treatment shall be focused especially on
reduction of pain, rtg changes of the skeleton will be seen much later. It is
suitable to administer preparations at the same time to support metabolism of
bone tissue, and possibly also anabolics. Simultaneous aimed therapeutic
exercise is absolutely indispensable. It is suitable to combine PMF with other
physical methods, especially hydrotherapy.

Therapy parameters
Recomended accesories
solenoid 60cm, linear 70x30, double disc 26x13, multi disc 26x26, solenoid

Length of application

Number of treatments
25 - 50
Position of applicator
Effect
Note
In the spa treatment the procedure may be applied even 2x a day. In case of
a clinical finding without morphological changes it is suitable to start the
treatment with non-steroidal antirheumatics (like Voltaren, Diclofenac)
together with simultaneous application of PMF on the whole body (the patient
is lying in two big solenoids at a time, or it is possible to combine linear disc
and solenoid 60) or locally on the affected areas. If irreversible morphological
changes of joints are already present, the treatment is supportive,
symptomatic, with predominant analgesic effect, which can slow down or stop
the degenerative process.

Effect
Note
In the spa treatment and in in-patients apply the therapy 2x a day. In some
patients the pain may temporarily increase after the initial therapies.
Nevertheless, it is not a reason for interruption of therapy; on the contrary, it
shows the patient's sensitivity to the magnetic field and high probability that
he/she will response well to the magnetotherapy. The patient's position must
be comfortable. The initial position depends on subjective troubles of the
patient, size of the pelvis, condition of the lumber spine and other parameters.
When lying prone it is suitable to support the patient's abdominal region with
soft cushion so as to level the lumbar lordosis and to avoid painful affections
in the loins and hip joints. When lying on back fix the flexion position of the

Note
Very satisfactory and effective treatment in the initial stage of the disease. If
the conditions does not significantly improve or the troubles do not completely
subside, surgical intervention is necessary. In the post-operative stage PMF
helps accelerate healing and reduces the risk of relapses. Combination with

Note
In dependence on the stage of the disease and the number of expositions the
claudication distances increase, position tests improve, skin temperature
increases, blood circulation improves, pO2 in the tissue increases and the
healing of possible skin defects is accelerated. It is suitable to administer
vasodilatants, the effect of which is potentiated under the influence of PMF. It
is recommended to combine with other physiotherapy methods, supporting
vasodilatation.

The therapy helps to improve perfusion, increase pO2 in the treated tissue,
increase the skin temperature, has anticoagulation effect. It is suitable to
administer vasodilatants, the effect of which is potentiated under the influence
of PMF. It is recommended to combine with other physiotherapy methods,
supporting vasodilatation and microcirculation, such as hydrotherapy etc.

Length of application
40 min
Frequency of treatments
daily
Number of treatments
5 - 10
Position of applicator
Effect
Note
Within longer lapse of time from introduction of the older type of cement TEP,
a certain percent of patients complain of pains, objectively on the rtg there is
clearance between the femoral component and hip joint socket, which is a
display of loosening TEP. After 5 - 10 expositions the pains subside, but the
rtg finding remains for a long time, so it is suitable to repeat PMF therapy.
Even in modern non-cement TEP there sometimes occurs decalcination in
the area of TEP. Timely diagnosis and application of PMF in combination with
doses of Ca, calcitonin and vit.D it is possible to achieve recalcination, which
prevents later loosening of the socket. The therapy must be long-lasting and
repeated.

Note
Owing to the possible risk of increased bleeding under the influence of PMF it
is suitable to apply continuous magnetic field especially in the 1st - 2nd week
of therapy and gradually change over to PMF. The therapy effect can be
supported by combination with laser therapy. In in-patients apply 2x a day. It
is recommended to administer preparations for the support of metabolism of
the bone tissue and acceleration of healing.

Note
The best effect can be expected at painful states, without disorders of sensing
and mobility. Combination with laser therapy in the initial stage has proved
well. If relief does not come until the 14th day of therapy, it is suitable to apply
corticoids with mesocain into the carpal tunnel and repeat the entire course of
therapy. The effect of corticoid treatment is considerably potentiated at
simultaneous exposition of PMF.
