Description of Events

1. Pancacabatan
An event held annually for some freshmen students from Pangasinan or who
has a Pangasinan blood-line, to get to know each other as well as the
confraternity aiming to serve the province.
2. UPCAT Tutorials
Usually held in the towns of Pangasinan, the UPCAT tutorial gives a set of
review or practice sets to graduating high school students aspiring to pass
the prestigious University of the Philippines College Admission Test. This is
also an avenue where UP Palaris Confraternity members, who as UP students,
share their knowledge by explaining covered lessons and solutions to practice
sets, and as well as narrate their experiences in UP.
3. Campus Clash
The Campus Clash is an annual quiz bee event held in Pangasinan that aims
to promote camaraderie while instilling a friendly competition for high school
students from both public and private schools in the province.
4. Pangasinan Lunch
Usually held every February, the Pangasinan Lunch seem to be one of the
highlights of the Anniversary month, where UP students can partake into a
lunch that proudly exhibit the typical Pangasinan cuisine with the limelight on
the world-famous Dagupan Bangus, atsara, and a blend of red egg and
tomatoes, plus an unlimited rice.
5. Speed Dating
Speed Dating is an event for the Valentines Day for those who are single and
ready to mingle. In a short lapse of time, the participants can meet and get
along several types of people and who knows, with one of these they can find
they the love they have been waiting for.
6. Marriage Booth
Its either you tie the knot or you bail. The Marriage Booth, also held for the
Valentines Day, is a fun, exciting activity for individuals who might like to be
married with someone such as their crushes or beaus/girlfriends, or for
friends who might want to play tricks and fun to friends they are linking
together, or connecting in love.
7. Medical and Dental Mission
The UP Palaris Confraternity alumni who are doctors and dentists, as well as
other UPPC volunteers, put up together a Medical and Dental Mission to some
places, especially the far-flung ones, in Pangasinan to reach out for the
medical and dental needs of fellow Pangasinenses.
8. Books and Book Shelves Donation
The UP Palaris Confraternity funded by generous alumni, donate books and
book shelves on some schools in Pangasinan to own a special place in their
respective libraries. This will also help the high school students in their
research and study needs.
9. Tree Planting Activity
Tree Planting Activities are held in support for Saving the Environment
Campaigns. Numerous seedlings are planted on several landfields or vacant

area in Pangasinan so as to grow trees. Other than tree planting, plants or

trees who seem like forsaken are also adopted and again taken care of.
10.Sagip Kabaleyan
The event is held to reach out with fellowmen who have been victimized by
calamities and disasters. A little help such as donations in cash or in kind, and
relief goods aims to put a smile in their faces and at least, give them a sense
of hope amidst the hardships they have encountered.
11.Bonding
Bonding among the members and alumni are a musts, in order to maintain
the brotherhood and close ties. This is an avenue where each and everyone
can share what is happening to their lives, meet for further activities, or just
try to have fun and set aside whatever problems are being encountered in
each lives. Extravagant bondings are usually held during anniversaries and
Christmas parties, or when bonding with a bulk of UPPC members.
