Dazzling Details

Looking into the finer details of science. Predicting and investigating what
the inside/finer details of small objects look like.

Dissecting Beans

What does the inside of a bean look like? Form and


record hypotheses.
Using tweezers and knives, carefully slice into the bean
and use a magnifying glass to examine the details.
Record findings. (see Dissecting Beans resource)

Sandpaper Rubbings

Collect small items from around the school that youd like
to see the inside of.
Using sandpaper, carefully sand away outer details to
reveal what is inside. (Provided: shells, rocks, coral, pine
cones)
