MNG EN AQUATIC PRODUCTS PROCESSING FACTORY

- Create a focal point of acquisition, processing and consumption of aquatic products in
general, including cold water fish products in the district.
- Contribute to increase aquatic product value and stabilize aquaculture and aquatic
production in locality; supply aquatic products of high quality standards, serving
domestic and international markets.
- 100% of the capital from the investors or joint venture.
- Total expected investment: VND 50 billion.
- Capacity: 1.000 tons/year
- Total expected project land area: 20 ha
- Project implementation progress: for 36 months since the PPC issued the investment
certificate.
- Project duration: 50 70 years
- Decision No. 581/Q-TTg, dated 20-Apr-2011 by the Prime Minister approving the
overall planning of socio-economic development in Kon Tum province to 2020.
- Decision No. 29/2011/QD-UBND, dated 26-Sep-2011 of Kon Tum province on
approving the Plan of construction and development of key economic sectors and the
main products of the province to 2020
- Decision No. 1055/QD-UBND, dated 6-Oct-2011 Kon Tum province of on approving
the list of projects calling for investment and exploring investment opportunities in Kon
Tum period 2011-2015.
- The aquatic product processing factory planned in the Industrial zone of Mang Den
district town of Konplong district in the national highway 24 connecting Kon Tum and
Quang Ngai. (A copy of the location diagram attached).
* Land:
The Current status of the project area and planning area of the aquatic product
processing factory is included in the Industrial zone area planning of the district.

* Traffic Infrastructue:
- Highway 24: main road connecting Kon Tum city with Quang Ngai city. The total
length across the district is 51 km. This is important diplomatic route in passenger and
cargo transport from the central coastal provinces and Kon Tum province to the
provinces in southern Laos and Northeast Thailand.
Infrastructure at - Means of transportation: by road and convenient.
Project venues
* Communication:
Including phone system, communication cable system for digital multi-media
communications, post, radio and television broadcasting.
* Electricity source:
From the power supply system of the National Grid Electricity.
* Water source:
From the Water Plant of Konplong district town.
* Waste/sewage treatment systems:
There are no water/sewage treatment system, so its needed to invest in Waste/sewage
treatment systems in the project area to ensure the treatment in accordance with the

- Domestic market: The products known by Vietnam consumers high-grade and very
popular specialties. Thus, the domestic market is of greatly potential and meets the needs
of tourists in Mang Den.
- Foreign markets: Promoting market expansion into Laos and Cambodia ...
- Investors should link Vietnam Sturgeon Group to ensure the product output.
- The province can meet the input supply of raw material, human, materials and and
public services.
- Acquisition and processing of freshwater fish in Kon Plong district and Kon Tum
province.
- The ppopulation of Kon Plong district until the end of 2012 is 21.826 people. The ratio
of people in the working age makes up more than 50% of the district population.
- The labor source in the district meets the supply ability of unskilled labor for the
project.
* Land rent:
Investors are exempt from land tax for 11 years from the completion date of the project
construction and the commencement of operation.
* Tax policies:
- Corporate Income Tax ( Decree No. 124/2008/ND-CP ) : 10 % preferential tax rate for
a period of 15 years applies to newly established businesses ; 20 % preferential tax rate
applicable during operating time for the cooperative agricultural Services and people's
Credit fund .
+ Export and import duty: exemption of import duty of imported goods to create fixed
assets for the project.
* Other incentives :
+ Foreigners and Vietnamese residing and working abroad with their investment and
business in the project, and their family members are granted immigration visas valid for
many times matching the working duration in the project, can reside or temporarily
reside in a fixed term in the economic zone and in Vietnam;
* Advantages:
- The supply input is plentiful from many places raising cold water fishes in the district
area.
- Processed cold water fish relatively special products under little competition on a large
scale.
- The project land area approved by the Prime Minister in the the construction planning
of Mang Den eco-tourism zone and Kon Plong general urban planning, Kon Plong
district, Kon Tum province to 2030 at the Decision No. 298/QD-TTg Decision, dated
02-May-2013.
* Disadvantages:
- The proportion of agricultural labor is still a high, accounting for 78.98% of total
employment. Number of professional employees is little. Once investors implement the
project, recruited employees needs to be trained to improve their professional knowledge
and skills before the project goes into operation.
- In the short term, the product consumers markets in the area is stil low due to poor
living standards of the local population, the products mainly for tourists and investors
demand.
- Efficient exploitation and use of natural resources available in the district and province.
- Create permanent jobs for local workers to have stable income, contributing to local
social- economic development.
