BARANGAY PROFILE
Barangay San Isidro is one of the five (5) big Barangays of Taytay, Rizal. It has a total
land area of Four Hundred Forty Two (442) hectares with a total population of 54,364 based
on census of the National Statistics Office Last 2015.

San Isidro is one of the progressive Barangay of the town having garments factories,
sash factories and other small business firms continuously operating within the community.
Banking business is also a progressive with a total of six banks serving the business sector.
This is one of the reasons why San Isidro is attractive to investors considering its easy access
from Manila via Ortigaz Avenue extension. San Isidro has several sitios/puroks numbering
about eleven (11), with only three of them categorized as depressed areas. Since the primary
objectives of Barangay San Isidro is to maintain a Clean and Healthy Community
Barangay Nutrition Scholars have been trained by Municipal Health Office and are being
maintained for the purposed.

To sustain the Barangay Health Program Barangay Volunteers Midwives are also
contracted to assist the Municipal Doctors in delivering basic health services. In cooperation
with through the assistance of the Municipal Health Office medical missions had been
conducted periodically. This is in line with the government principle of bringing the
government to the people. In addition to the basic services delivered by Barangay San Isidro,
garbage truck is task to collect the dispose garbage daily to preserve the cleanliness thereby
the elimination possible health hazards. It is exerting its full effort to keep Barangay San
Isidro clean and green the GSP personnel had been assigned for this beautification program.
As of date the infrastructure project of San Isidro is now 95% accomplished.

To maintain a peaceful and orderly Community it put-up a Barangay Patrol Vehicle to


conduct a routine patrolling within the area of jurisdiction. It serves not only for peace and
order campaign but also serves as an ambulance for those who are in dire need. Towards this
end. Barangay San Isidro has become an ideal place to live in.

HISTORY OF BARANGAY SAN ISIDRO


The name of the barangay is came from the name of San Isidro Labrador patron of
workers and farmers. Most people of San Isidro is workers and farmers so they named their
barangay. The people of Taytay are religious thats why they named their barangay to their
different patron. Barangay San Juan, Barangay Dolores, Barangay Sta. Ana, Barangay San
Isidro and Muzon

Barangay San Isidro is made up of plains and mountains. It is surrounded by river,


stream, lake and canals where clean water flows that supply the area. The body of water and
farm is produce fish such as dalag, hito, gurami, matinik, palos and snails. The forest is rich
with many kinds of woods such as mango, duhat, kasoy, siniguelas, santol, mabalo, atis,
anonas, bignay, bitungol etc. It also rich in vines such as huilalagak, saging at sisog kalabaw.
Root crops such as Araro, tuge, tungo and lima-lima. The farm from the plains to mountains
is like rice terraces that produce corn, melon, watermelon etc.

The barangay of San Isidro is contains big houses that inspired from Spaniards to
American era but only few of them is still remain. The streets is wide and paved that makes it
civilized from bayan of Jala-jala to Cainta. There are many restaurants, pancitan ng intsik,
botika, tailoring, hardware, lumber, Caltex. It also have a cinema house that makes a tourist
attraction from other towns.

All of this show that Barangay San Isidro is attracts many tourist because it has a
simple life and a beautiful place to live. Many of people here have their own job, like doctors,
attorney, engineer, architect, pharmacist, teacher, accountant, and many employers. Many of
men is in wood industry and some of women is in the manufacturing of ready and made dress
and tailoring, and for the children they are cleaning the capiz and cleaning of windows,
selling of newspaper, magazine, bitso-bitso and ice drop. Many of them also selling at
Divisoria. Central Blumentrir, Quiapo and they also sell readymade dress to Baclaran.
