Dear Brother and Sister Elks,

Looks like the summer is ofcially gone, just ew right on by. That being said it time to tighten our belts and g
ready for the winter months ahead. For our lodge this is the time of year where we have to get creative when
it comes to creating income so that we can pay for the cost of heating and snowplowing. As you all know
we dont get a lot of hall rentals this time of year, so times are a little tougher. So if anyone has any money ma
ideas that could bring some extra income to the lodge, dont be shy. There are all kinds of ways we can cut c
and they all add up whether its turning lights off when not needed, or making sure the heat is not running for
nothing, or making sure we keep our alcohol pours at a reasonable percentage so on and so forth, so just be
be mindful that we dont waste anymore than we have to. As a team we can get through these costly days ahe

We had our comedy show on the 10th of September and I must say it was a very well attended event, good line-up comedians,
lots of laughs and for the 1st time we got to here some comedy from one our own as Dee Turcotte added her own twist to the
group. Before the night was done we booked another show, so thank you to everyone who was able to attend and show your
support, lets keep the ball rolling. Also most recently we had our annual Elks Dinner and Variety Show put on by the members o
our lodge and this is always the time where we have our state presidents visit. Unfortunately do to reasons beyond there control
our State President Andrew Bolz and First Lady Tricia were not unable to attend do to Andy having had an unexpected medical
procedure done. That being said the visit will be rescheduled at a later date when the time is right. Our thoughts and prayers are
with them and we wish Andy a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them both soon. Getting back to the Dinner/ Variety
show, This show was very well attended, in fact it was sold out!!, so thanks for everyone who was able to attend. Also thank you t
everyone who participated to make this one of the best shows ive been involved with. Also thank you to Louis & Laurie and
everyone else who helped with the meal and serving, everything went well without hitch. A great group effort by everyone involve
Thank you to all the dignitaries who came to our lodge and showed your support, very much appreciated, hope you had a good
time and hope to see you again next year. As a reminder to all the members, starting this month we are back to two member
meetings a month, every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, so please come to the meeting and show your support and get involve
Also I would like to mention as we get closer to winter, and as we have storm cancelations do to bad weather, we will be letting
everyone know about any cancelations via Facebook and on TV using one of the news cancelations systems.
As for those snowbirds that are heading south for the winter, thanks for supporting your lodge and see you all next summer.
We have had some necessary items that were recently donated by a few members and we very much appreciate it, these kind of
contributions help us keep the cost down and help get us through the tight times, it all adds up. As we mentioned in the last meet
Anyone who is interested in being on a committee or becoming an ofcer, please let us know and we will get you the information
About any of the positions so you can have an idea what they entail. We need to be proactive and make sure that we have all the
positions lled and not wait till the last minute.

Desperately need.
