objectives
. 1. Formulate differential diagnosis on the basis of history and clinical
examination in a patient with lymphadenopathy
2. Define and differentiate between various lymphoproliferative disorders/
plasma cell Disorders
3. Define various modes of presentations of lymphoproliferative disorders /
plasma cell disorders
4. Explain pathogenesis of lymphoproliferative disorders / plasma cell
disorders
5. Outline and interpret investigations for lymphoproliferative disorders/
plasma cell disorders
6. Define importance of cytogenetics of lymphoma / plasma cell disorders
7. Outline principles of management of lymphoma / plasma cell disorders
8. Counsel the patients regarding prognosis in lymphoproliferative disorders
/ plasma cell orders

CASE
A 34-year-old woman presented with a dry cough for some weeks and
feeling that her voice changes Intermittently.

The only other striking symptom that she noticed was increasing
itching over the previous 6 months.
On questioning she admitted losing 6 kg in weight in the last few
months without trying for it.
She also complains of waking up at night, sweating two or three times
a week. She has no other symptoms to note. She has no significant
past medical history and takes no regular medication. She lives with
her husband and two sons aged 5 and 8 years. They have no pets.
What findings will you expect in clinical examination? And ultimately
how would you solve her problem?
