Student Stallholders Information

Student Christmas Market.

What you can sell:

1.1

The following things must not be sold, given away or promoted at any stall or by
any stall holder:
alcohol, electrical equipment, illegal substances or any objects which could be
regarded as offensive weapons.
Alcohol in foodstuffs will only be permitted provided that the alcohol by volume
(ABV) is below 1%. Foods must be clearly labelled that they contain alcohol.
As we cannot provide fridges or freezers, only food products that can be stored at
room temperature can be sold.
No hot food or drink can be sold or given away on any stalls.
Stallholders must be aware of basic food hygiene principles (as laid out by the Food
Standards Agency) and ensuring that a list of the ingredients used is available and
that food containing allergens (such as nuts) is clearly labelled.
No offensive or potentially harmful materials can be sold or be available on stalls nor
can goods which could be deemed as racist or sexual in nature.
When selling body care products a comprehensive list of all the ingredients must be
provided.
It is the stallholders responsibility to ensure that the goods they conform to the
standards endorsed by the Office of Fair Trading and local Trading Standards officers
