Message from PTO

The Boosterthon Fun Run was a big success!
Thank you to all of the volunteers, family and
friends that came out to cheer on our students.
While we didn't reach our goal, if we collect
100%, of our pledges, we will have raised over
$16,000 for our school! Please send in pledge
payments as soon as possible.
Another big thank you to Mrs. Thomas and
Ms. Melton for dressing up at Sumo Wrestlers!
The kids loved it!

Go Wildcats!

Flip Flops Needed!

The front office is in need of
flip flops (especially adult sizes)
because occasionally, students will
come to the office with broken
shoes and have none to replace
them without calling a parent to
bring a new pair.
Please help the Wildcat Wardrobe
closet by donating flip flops!
Thank you!!!

Ms. Whitley 3rd Grade Teacher

Favorite restaurant: Firebirds

Where you went to college: Meredith College
Name of your 3rd grade teacher: Mrs. Vallence
How many years at Fairview: This is my 12th year at Fairview.
City you want to visit the most: Florence, Italy
Favorite thing to do outside of school: Spend time with my horse, JoJo
Most rewarding part of being a teacher: Seeing my kids after they have left Fairview and they
still remember me!
Favorite sport/team to watch on TV: Tie between the Carolina Hurricanes (ice hockey), NC State
(college football), and Carolina Panthers (pro football)
Why did you become a teacher? I love working with kids! I also love learning new things. Our
curriculum is always changing, so I am constantly getting to learn something new to teach my
children.
Silliest fact about you: I can make my eyes wiggle. I used to do it in front of my sister and
brother to gross them out!
Which staff member would you like to spotlight next month? Send your vote via email!

Thank you to Jennifer Duppstadt and Brand RPM

for designing the #BrodyStrong t-shirts. 100% of
