Janovy will improve the decision-making process

To the editor:

I am writing to endorse Jennifer Janovy for the Edina City Council and respectfully ask for your
vote for her on November 8.

I have worked on several city issues for nine years. My work has led me to believe:

1. One of Edinas greatest assets is the wealth of talent we have in our residents. The best
outcomes for our community occur when there is authentic civic engagement in the
citys decision-making process.
2. Challenges can become opportunities if we address them with the foundation value of
building community. Currently, Edina faces many challenges in the areas of
redevelopment, city government transparency, fiscal responsibility and transportation.
3. Actions speak louder than words. It is important to me to vote for an ethical, principled
candidate whose actions align with her or his words.

I have worked closely with Jennifer on city issues for nearly a decade. I know that Jennifers
strengths and values will be a huge asset to the city council. She will help improve the city
decision-making process through:

High ethical standards
Dedication to thorough research on an issue, no matter how complex
A commitment to listen to residents and to work for shared solutions
A conviction that civic decisions should be made for the greater good

Jennifer has a positive vision for Edina and will work tirelessly as a council member. Her passion
and knowledge of transportation, her authentic civic participation and perspective on smart
growth will benefit the future of Edina.
