Fuel Management System Testing

Scope of Work
Metro Transit is seeking to have above ground storage tanks' fuel management systems inspected,
tested and calibrated by an OPWI Omntec distributor or a manufacturer's trained representative,
The inspection calibration will ensure compliance with all MPCAIEPA regulations and to remain
compliant with each of the sites spill prevention control countermeasure plans. The person or
persons working at some of the locations will required to take an online class to be certified by
BNSF to work near rail road tracks. Once the work had been awarded proof of insurance will be
required.
The purpose of the testing will be to:
Verify that each of the systems are in like new operating condition and certify that each of the inventory
systems is calibrated within industry and regulation standards,
Verify and certify that all overfill and leak detection components within the tanks and containment areas
are operational/ reliable,
Verify that all alarm functions are operational and reliable as intended during installation,
Within thirty days of calibration, Metro Transit will be issued reports from the vendor that can be
presented to regulatory authorities as documentation that all systems are compliant. The vender
will also enter data into the compliance programs of the management systems, where
applicable,
The vender will supply Metro Transit a complete breakdown of equipment deficiencies including
cost for replacement components and installation for any system that is not operational due to
equipment malfunction. If cost is agreeable, the vender will perform component replacement and
recertify the system.
The inspection and calibration will be at the sites listed on the "Storage Tank Locations And
Inventory" pages, during normal Metro Transit working hours, under the observation of the onsite
facility maintenance technician, without disruption to any Metro Transit operation bus maintenance
procedures . .
Metro Transit recommends that vendors field verify the number of and programmed functions of each
system before submitting bids.
The vender will be responsible to have the first inspection calibration completed before

12/31/2015.
