is the annual time for NATSO members to make their pilgrimage to Capitol Hill to meet with senators and
members of Congress to voice how vitally important the truckstop and travel plaza industry is to the national
economy and how congressional votes affect its ability to thrive.
As part of the event, NATSO hosted its annual Congressional Pie Reception Capitol Hill pie reception, serving
nearly 225 pies from local truckstops to legislators and their staff.
NATSO Day on Capitol Hill 2017 will be May 15-17, 2017.

a nearly 20 year-old scholarship that helps industry employees and their children help offset
the cost of a college education. The scholarship provides much needed and deserved assistance to
industry students planning for their post-secondary education and has awarded over $250,000 in
scholarships.
Each year since 1993 The NATSO Foundation has awarded scholarships of $2,500 each to selected
industry employees and their children to help offset the cost of a college education.
AVAILABLE TO
all truckstop and travel plaza owner/operators, their employees and their families are eligible. Five $5,000
scholarships will be awarded this year.
APPLICATIONS
Each spring the NATSO Foundation releases the scholarship application and applicants are judged by a independent
review with selections based on academic merit, financial need, community activities and a short essay.
