1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Bc4
{I wasn't happy to see this move as I am not completely booked up on
this line, I feel most comfortable on Bg5/Be3 lines.}
6...e6 7.Bg5
{I am not sure if this is the book move, but I dont think do. Most
common is Bb3, this now seems like a weird move order to reach a Bg5
line with Bc4 in.}
7...Be7 8.Qf3 Qc7 9.Bb3 Nc6
{I didnt want to castle altough computers suggest it and I didnt want
to play Nbd7 and get saced on e6 so I thought this was a good move.}
( 9...Nbd7 10.Bxe6 fxe6 11.Nxe6 Qb6 12.Nxg7+ Kf7 13.Nf5 )
10.O-O-O b5?!
{An innacuracy. Which hopefully wasnt punished by my opponent.
The best move in this position is actually Nxd4 in Classical Sicilian
style, before playing b5 releasing the tension on d4 to avoid
Bxf6-Nxb5 tricks.
I kept treating this as a Najdorf when this was I would say a
Classical Variation.}
11.Rhe1
( 11.Bxf6 {White had an interesting Nd5 sac I thought he didnt have.}
11...Bxf6
( 11...gxf6? {The move I initially consider as an answer to Bxf6
loses inmediatly. I thought this move was good as it avoided
common Nxb5 stuff.} 12.Nd5 exd5 13.Nxc6 {Black's king has no safe
place to be in.} )
12.Nd5
( 12.Ndxb5 axb5 13.Nxb5 Qb8 14.Nxd6+ Kf8 {And surprisingly enough
Black is actually slightly better.} )
12...exd5 13.Nxc6 {And Black needs to be brave and castle.} 13...O-O
( 13...Qxc6 14.Bxd5 Qc5 15.Bxa8 )
14.Bxd5 {When White has the initiative.} )
11...Ne5 12.Qe2 h6 13.Be3 b4 14.Na4 Nxe4 15.Bxh6 Nc3 16.Nxc3 Rxh6
( 16...bxc3 17.Bxg7 Bg5+ 18.Kb1 Rh7 19.Bxe5 dxe5 20.Qxe5 Qxe5 21.Rxe5
Bf6 22.Re4 Rxh2 {Was also interesting but play seems unclear. I would
preffer to keep queens on the board.} )
17.Ne4 d5 18.f4 Ng6 19.Ba4+ Bd7
( 19...Kf8 )
20.Bxd7+ Qxd7 21.Ng5 Nxf4 22.Qg4 e5?
{Huge blunder, completely overlooked Nf5 and specially Rxe5.
All this time during my thought process I forgot about the e5-pawn
hanging.}
( 22...Ng6 {Best way to keep the pawn advantage.} 23.Ndxe6 {Sac is
amazingly good for Black.} 23...fxe6 24.Nxe6 Kf7 25.Qf3+ Kg8 26.Rxd5
Qa7 )
23.Qxd7+
( 23.Nf5 Rg6 24.Rxe5 )
23...Kxd7 24.Nf5?? Bxg5 25.Nxh6 Bxh6 26.Kb1
( 26.g3 Nd3+ 27.Kb1 Nxe1 28.Rxe1 f6 )
26...Kd6 27.g3 Ne6 28.Rf1 f6 29.Rf5 Nc5 30.Rdf1 Ne4 31.Ka1 Rc8 32.c3 bxc3
33.bxc3 Bd2 34.a3 Bxc3+ 35.Ka2 Bd4 36.Rh5 Rb8 37.a4 Bb2 38.Rf3 Nc3+ 39.
Rxc3 Bxc3 40.Rh7 Rb7 41.Rh8 Ke7 42.Rc8 d4 43.Ra8 a5 44.Ra6 Rb2+ 45.Ka3

Rxh2 46.Ra7+ Kf8 47.Ra8+ Kf7

{Overall this was a great, fun and interesting game which highlited my
main weakness, theoritical knowledge. I failed to recognize the
typical Nxd4-b5 idea and wasnt use to the positions which stopped me
from castling and getting a comfortable play.
Thankfully my opponent didnt punish these and let me enter a beatiful
game which I pretty much enjoyed playing.
