THE LONELY TREE

Scene 1
[On screen, typing at the bottom left hand side, (A
Monday Morning, 15 minutes past Mujhe attendance
nahi milne waala oclock. AKA 8:25)]
[A student is walking towards the lonely tree whilst
looking around frantically for the HOD.]
Student 1: Today if that HOD sees me, I am dead. I best
sit behind this tree.
[Student 1 happens to see a lot of litter in and around
the tree]
[From a distance, 2 students spot the other student]
Student 2: Its been a while since weve seen someone
sit near the lonely tree. We best find out who it is.
[Students meet each other]
Student 2: What are you doing near the lonely tree
Student 1(Looking through the gap for the HOD): I
didnt realise itd be a problem; I would move but Im
afraid of my HOD catching me. (Turns around and looks
with a weird expression)
Did you just call the tree a lonely tree?
Student 2: Yes, Yes I did, since youre here Im going to
tell you a story, LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY.
Student 1 tries to look away, student 2 gets the
attention somehow

Scene 2:

In this story, there are three characters, Jeff, Radhika

and Sneha.
First we meet Jeff, [ULTRA COOL DUDE, into sports. The
chicks dig him.]
JEFF: (WHILE LOOKING AT CHICKS) HI my name is Jeff
(22 Jump street style)
[Meet Radhika, The universal nerd]
[Looking down, scratching her head]
Radhika: Dont disturb ya, I have lab internals
tomorrow.
[Sneha, the cultural head]
Sneha: I want to change the world for the better.

Scene 3:
[Sneha wasted no time in calling her best friends to a
spot to discuss the change she wanted to bring]
[All the three characters sitting in the lawn]
Sneha: Guys, as discussed we are here to change the
world by doing something better. What is it that we can
do? It has to be unique.
{Time card}
[Radhika and Sneha look at each other, get up to leave]
Radhika: This is useless; I need to study. Bye.
Jeff: Hey guys, wait. Charity begins at home, why dont we make
sure that, that tree thats there alone, never goes another day all by
itself. Lets nurture it, who knows, by seeing us the people might get
inspired?
Narrator: Days, Weeks, Months, Semesters and Chicks went by.
They took care of the tree so well. Soon the day came where the

three of them graduated and left. Ever since, no body took the
initiative to keep it clean or to nurture it, it didnt long for the people
to started calling it the lonely tree.
[Student 2 stops speaking and looks for Student 1.]
[Student 1 will be getting scolded by the HOD.]
