A Promised Comforter

October 16 - October 22

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and

confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each
day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker
on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional.
At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion
and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks
Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in
the foyer of Power Source.

Jesus promised me the Holy Spirit.

God,

Jesus was dead and the disciples were sad. But on the
third day, two women came to the cave where they had
put Jesus body. An angel there told the women that
Jesus was alive! They ran to tell the other disciples. They
were very excited when they met Jesus again. Then
Jesus told them He was going away to heaven and that
He would send the Holy Spirit to be their comforter and
guide them. Matthew 28

Im so glad you sent the Holy Spirit to comfort and lead

me. Thank you for my parents, teachers, friends, Pastor
Ron, and his family. May the God of hope fill them with
all joy and peace in believing in Him (Romans 15:13).
Forgive me when I make bad choices. Help me to obey my
parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long
life on the earth (Ephesians 6:2-3). I will tell others how
great You are and how much I love you. Thank you that
because of Jesus, I am healed and whole.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

God has given us His Spirit.
