(1) Title
Displays the device name, the program number and the program
name.
(2) Tool name
Displays the tool number and the tool name of the tool selected. The
selected tool can be switched.
(3) Brightness correction range
When the Brightness correction is set, the range will be displayed
with a blue frame.
(4) Tool window
Displays the tool window which has been set.
(5) Search Window
If the search window of the tool is set, the range will be displayed
with a light blue frame.

Basic setting

Operation for initial start-up


1. Turn on the power of the monitor.

Starting the Navigator

2. Select the language.

1. Touch the [Sensor setup] button.

3. Set the current date and time.

2. Touch the [Start] button.

4. Select [direct connection].

Setting the Image Optimization


1. Touch the [Trigger Options] button.

5. Turn on the power of the sensor.


6. Touch the [OK] button.

2. Select the Trigger type.

7. Select the output polarity of the sensor.

[Internal trigger]: The trigger will be input automatically, according


to the trigger interval settings.
[External trigger]: The trigger will be input when an external signal
is input. If necessary, set the trigger delay.

8. The sensor setup screen will be displayed.

3. Touch the [OK] button.

2. Image the target and touch the [Trig] button.

4. Touch the [Auto Brightness Adjustment] button.

3. Check the image displayed on the monitor and touch the [Register]
button.

Setting the detection tool (outline tool)
1. Touch the [Add Tool] button.

[Auto focusing type]: The focus position is adjusted automatically.


[Manual focusing type]: The focus indicator will be displayed.
Image the target, and turn the focus adjustment screw until the
focus value reaches the peak mark.

3. Touch the [Edit Window] button.

4. Set the position, size, and the angle of the tool window. The
detected outline will be displayed in green.
7. Touch the [OK] button.
8. Touch the [Next] button to proceed to STEP2.
Registering the master image
1. After setting the image optimization, press the [Register Live Image
as Master] button.

5. After the setting is completed, touch the [OK] button.

4. Set the position, size, and the angle of the tool window.

6. Touch the [Limit Adjustment] button.

6. Touch the [Color/Brightness Extraction] button.

Setting the detection tool (Color Area/Area tool)

8. After the setting is completed, touch the [OK] button.

1. Touch the [Add Tool] button.

9. Touch the [Limit Adjustment] button.

10. Set the threshold to judge OK and NG.

Setting the detection tool (Pos.Adj.)
1. Touch the [Add Tool] button.

2. Touch the [Pos.Adj.] button.


8. After the setting is completed, touch the [OK] button. The display will
return to the main screen for Position Adjustment tool.
9. Touch the [OK] button.
10. After the setting is completed, touch the [Next] button to proceed to
STEP4.
Setting the output
1. Touch the output line to assign the output function.

3. Touch the [Edit Window] button.

Explanation
No output assigned
When the total status result is OK, the output
is ON.
When the total status result is NG, the output
is ON.
When the sensor is running with no system
error, the output is ON.
While the sensor cannot receive the trigger
signal, the output is ON.
When an error has occurred, the output is ON.
When the position adjustment tool is OK, the
output is ON.
When the result of the tool is OK, the output is
ON.
When the result of the logic is OK, the output is
ON.

2. After the setting is completed, touch the [complete] button.

6. Touch the [Limit Adjustment] button.

3. Touch the [Yes] button.

Start running
1. Touch the [RUN] button.

2. Confirm that the run screen opens on the monitor.
