Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:
This email chain shows my own initiative to address problematic behaviors that affected
a students learning in my classroom. Not only do I make it clear that I communicate on
a regular basis with parents, but that, in this instance, I communicated with the student
to talk about his behavior prior to the incident.

Reflection on the artifact:

This email was not a permanent fix for the students behavior, but it was a start for a
year-long communication window being opened between myself and the students
parents. I do wish I had made contact even sooner, which I have been working on
throughout the year with other disciplinary issues.
