(FLASHBACK) then flashback to how it all began

(START)

Start in the middle of the action

Decide who is telling the story
and when they tell it.
For example, in the caption,
one child is telling the story after
the action has already finished;

then we saw instead of
now the children see.

the mystery
or
Things were getting worse. It was
time we did something about it.

(END)
End
of the
story

now complete the story!

Use phrases like:

We returned to ____, but this time we
searched ____
or
We went back to the person who had
warned us not to keep up our search.
They sure had some explaining to do.
