Brain Computing

Interface
Presented By :
Amit D. Aher

Introduction
Imagine

transmitting signals directly to

someone's brain that would allow them
tosee,hear or feel specific sensory
inputs.

Direct

communication pathway
between the brain and an external
device.

History
It

is Developed by Hans Berger

electrical activity of human brain and
the development
ofelectroencephalography (EEG).

In

1924 Berger was the first one who

recorded an EEG from a human brain.

How does it works???

Input And Output

Application

Advantages
Allow

people with minimal muscle

control to communicate.

This

is most useful for Patient.

Used

is in the rehabilitation of motor

functions

Disadvantage
1) BCI still require a wired connection to
the equipment
2) Those that are wireless require the
subject to carry a computer that can
weigh around 10 pounds.
3) The signal is weak and prone to
interference.

Future Scope
Like all technology, this will surely become
lighter and more wireless in the future.
