Dear Sir or Madam; Ms. Kelly Desjardins is a confident, hard-working individual who has the potential to be successful in the field of education. During her placement at Central Avenue Public School, she proved to be very efficient, helpful and professional. In a Grade 2/3 setting, she worked with students in groups as well as one-on-one. She encouraged students with high-needs prompting them to read aloud, instructing them to understand their assignment and encouraging them to finish tasks. Overall, she contributed meaningfully to the progress and development of the students with whom she worked. Throughout the course of the day, Ms. Desjardins organized materials, provided assistance to students and staff and communicated pertinent information to aide in the running of the school. Her keen initiative was evident when she volunteered to do odd jobs willingly and she did not hesitate to move around the classroom assisting others when the need arose. She was a calming presence in the classroom and the students felt comfortable approaching her and asking her for feedback on their work and performance. She handled various situations with praise, kindness and authority when it was appropriate. The students responded to her with respect. It has been a pleasure to have Ms. Desjardins in our school. She would be a welcomed asset to any setting within the realm of education. Should you wish to discuss her performance, I would be more than willing to have that conversation. I can be contacted at my home number, (705) 849-2725. Yours truly,
