Synopsis:
Week 10, because of lecture schedule shuffles and tutorial presentations was a week of
multiple topics. The lecture, based on assessment opened our eyes up to the multiple ways of
assessment and how this can be incorporated and the importance of it in the classroom. In
comparison, the readings were based on assessment as well as teaching writing in the
classroom. The combination of assessment focus with teaching writing made me think critically
about how we should be assessing writing, when and how. The tutorial was our presentation
on Oral Language Development. It was interesting for students to ask us questions about
assessment of oral language as they made critical links between the topics.
