TITLE OF THE CASE


Effectiveness and Efficiency of the founder, Ms. Delia Delos Reyes, on
handling decision making.

II.

CASE SUMMARY
The founder and the president, Ms. Delia Delos Reyes was facing a
serious problem with her publishing company. The old and new employees
were having a conflict in decision making. Ms. Delos Reyes was not
impressed of having a plan and clear-out policies to guide their decision
making. She's afraid that she might not have the company tomorrow if she
concentrates on formulating plan and policies today, because she believes
that it is best to solve the problem as they happen.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


There is a conflict between the old and new employees and the founder,
Ms. Delos Reyes, on making decisions. Ms. Delos Reyes thinks that theres
no need to plan things because for her, it is best if the problem is to be solve
as it occurs.

STATEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVE


The objectives of this study are:
(1) to solve the problem on decision making between the old and
new employees
(2) to let Ms. Delos Reyes know that the company needed planning
and clear-cut policies and programs to guide decision making.
(3) to change the perspective of Ms. Delos Reyes on solving
problems of the company

Have a clear-cut policies and programs to guide decision making

for the sake of the company.


Have a meeting with Ms. Delos Reyes and present presentations
about the advantages and disadvantages of her perspective on
solving problems of the company and having a plan on hand before

encountering the problem.


Make a plan on how to deal with future problems of the company.
The Departments Heads will be responsible for this. They must list
all the possible problems that may occur in their respective
departments and make a plan to prevent it or have a possible

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION


In order to have a clear-cut policies and programs to guide decision
making, the officials must conduct a survey through-out the company to have
a pool of suggestions on the policies and programs. The survey will stand as
proof of fairness to all old and new employees rather than just letting the old
or new employees only decide on it. Then, create a group of persons to
brainstorms and pick the best policies and programs to guide decision
making. The group of people will compose of representatives per department
with old and new employees each. Lastly, present the created policies and
programs to the Board of Directors for approval.
To let Ms. Delos Reyes understand that planning is needed to her
company, the group of employees must present the advantages and
disadvantages of the belief of Ms. Delos Reyes that it is best to solve
problems as they happen and having a plan before encountering a problem.
The presentation must be presented to Ms. Delos Reyes and the Board and
let them to vote if they will have a plan or stay to what they used to do.
