Dear Sir,
I am a management student with 47 months of work experience and a Petroleum Engineering
graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad; I am seeking to align myself in a leadership
role with a growth oriented company company. Johnson & Johnson is the world leader in
healthcare business and the leadership program offered by Johnson & Johnson is unmatched in its
scope.
After completing my bachelors degree, I worked for GSPC, a state owned Oil and Gas firm. In
very short time I was given operational incharge role for field operations, which was drilling gas
wells in KG Basin, in Bay of Bengal. I was one of the highest performers for my company and
received the highest ratings for three years continuously. Working with Oil and Gas form has also
sensitised me towards the environmental costs of a business.
In my work, I monitored and supervised gas well drilling operations. I supervised a team of 50
people from various service providers. I believe that the the biggest takeaways from my last job are
the leadership skills and people skills. I managed to develop excellent working relationships with
everybody who was assigned to our site and also handled differences cordially. I believe that these
skills are transferable, and will hold me in good stead if I am selected for the role.
I always want to work where my job will make a lasting impact. Even in Oil and Gas production
business, I knew that in some remote village of Gujarat, people would be lighting their stoves from
the gas that I helped extract. In Johnson & Johnson, I will find far more meaning in my work. The
impact of my work will directly affect the lives of people in a far more tangible way, and nothing
drives me more that the fact that I am working towards changing the lives of people and being a
part of something bigger.
I believe that with my combined formal education and skills gained from previous work experience,
I will write the script to my own success. It would be a great honour to be accepted in a culture
which strives for the health and wellness of others. I will push my capabilities to deliver a tangible
impact to the company if offered a chance.
