The Community Based Transition Program provides training and community-based field
experiences for students with disabilities aged 18-22 who have completed high school.
Curriculum includes vocational, social, transition, independent living, self-advocacy, and
life skills instruction.

Responsibilities included working with 20 middle and high schools in Maryland to
maintain quality chapters of Best Buddies.
o This was accomplished through student recruitment, fostering student leaders
with and without intellectual disabilities, and working with campus faculty and
administration.
Developed educational curriculum and led leadership training for over 100 student
leaders at Best Buddies Leadership Conference in July 2009.
Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global
volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated
employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental
disabilities.

Assisted campers with composing and recording an original song, which culminated with
