Dear Madam/Sir:
I have completed my Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at the
Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management and Engineering, Mumbai, India.
My course work included subjects like operation research, design of machine elements,
design of mechanical systems, finite element analysis, computer aided manufacturing
and design, Product Design and development, Project Management, Fluid Mechanics
and machinery, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and vibration engineering.
I have also done my Internship at Air India Hangars, in its Base Maintenance Division.
My internship gave me hands on experience on working on Aircrafts like Boeing 777200 LR, Boeing 777-300 ER and Boeing 747-400. I have also assisted in various
operations performed on the GE-90 Aircraft engine. The operations mainly included
Maintenance of Aircrafts, like Lubrication of different parts of Aircraft, replacement of
different parts like the Aircraft Life Raft Reservoir, brakes on the landing gear,
replacement of the wheels, maintenance of GE 90 and Pratt & Whitney PW4056
turbojet engines, and maintenance at the wing - end comprising of hydraulics and
assembly.
I have also worked on certain project reports and presentations during my course. I
have prepared a project report on Automotive Design and presented the same in my
2nd year. My role in the project was to explain the concept of Automotive Aerodynamics
and highlight the importance of drag force, lift forces, traction and downforces and
their effects on vehicular performance.
My final year project involved the project report and presentation on Design and
Power train of Formula 1 car. This project involved Research on Future of Hybrid
and Electric Vehicles which included topics like Kinetic Energy Recovery System,
Motor Generator Unit, Energy Store, Turbocharging and Supercharging of Engines,
the Formula Electric Competition, the Spark Renault SRT O1E .
Apart from these academic projects, I have taken part in several extra-curricular
competitions, Industrial Visits and training. One such highlight was the Formula Design
Championship held by Delta Inc at JK Tyre Track in Coimbatore. I ranked 13 th out of
40 in the Business Logic Case Event at the Formula Design Championship competition.
