Logline

During a deal a baby has crawled into a bag of

cash.

The Mafia Boss must deal with the issues that

the baby poses as he tries to carry on with
business as usual but it isn't all as easy as it
seems

Working with the Genre

Genre: Superhero

To work this into a our script, were going to

use the 6 typical camera angles from this genre
that we found during our research along with
some other tropes.

The Script
This is the 1st draft which
includes the proposed
camera angles.

Early Storyboards

These are the rough sketches that were made to

help with the camera angles.

As we are trying to use the 6 typical camera angles

from our genre, our storyboard are taking a little
longer than we would like as we are trying to perfect
these shots.

Style and Limitations

Our style is based around 2D backgrounds inspired by

Warner Brothers and UPA.

Working with a 2D background with reduce modelling

time needed but will give us issues with characters
interacting with items such as furniture.

Our characters will consist of a baby as well as a Mafia

Boss who hasn't got a clue on how to care for a baby.
The baby we have created will pose a different issues as
we have never animated movement like this before. This
may result in several tests before finalising the design.

Production and
Environment Designs

These are early production

designs.

They use muted tones with

test pieces for brighter and
bolder colours.

How Were Going To

Produce It

Were setting ourselves some pretty strict but achievable goals

for each week.

Were hoping to pick up the pace in the next 2 weeks to allow

ourselves as much time as possible for Maya work.

Our animatics will be critical. The 1st made up of camera angle

oriented drawings. The 2nd is the final storyboards with the
camera angles.

We each have clear definitive roles but will all be on standby to help
each other out when needed.

Testing will be key to making sure that the production goes as

planned.

The timetable above is a rough example of what work we are hoping to get completed and
at what dates. This timetable is not 100 % set in stone because as our work flow increases
we may feel the need to modify it by adding in other goals or even removing goals early.
