Parts Orders Data Entry -- Instructions

Input Sheet
The Input sheet is protected, with no password.
Use the Navigation Buttons
Click the arrows to view the first, previous, next or last record in the database.
OR -- Type a valid record number in the yellow cell, and press the Enter key.
Select a Specific Record
Select an Order ID from the drop down list in cell J3, to see that order
In cell K3, the formula calculates the record number for the selected Order ID.
Hide column M before using.

Update or Add Records

Select an existing record and edit it, then click Update to modify the record on the PartsData sheet.
OR -- Enter a new parts order, then click Add, to add it to the PartsData sheet.
In cell L3, the formula calculates if the Order ID is already in the database

Mandatory and Optional Entries

In column E, mark any required cells with an X.
Formula in column F tests for data in required cells.
Hide columns E:F before using.
All required cells (green) must be filled in. Optional cells (grey) can be left blank. Conditional formatting
